My Partner
I want to talk a bit about my partner in life. We have been together going on 30 years. The longer I know her the more I appreciate who she is. She values friends more than anyone I have ever known. I am taking lessons from her examples in everyday life. I value her friendship above anything else! Because, I know if I have her as a friend, I have a treasure.
She probably doesn't know this, but for the past five weeks she has been a powerful voice in my heart. Her voice has calmed my soul in times of much confusion. I have betrayed her trust in the past, the most recent a couple of months ago, but about three weeks ago I made a commitment to myself and secretly to her that it will never occur again. Why? She is my friend, even if I am not hers. I may hurt, but she will not, at least not by my hand, or not if I can stop anyone else.
If you have a friend you have a great treasure as well. Let them know how much they mean to you, not with words, but with your actions.

Hey there Garza,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I read yours, and it seems you are starting to journal in the same way that I did a couple of years ago. My first blog, LQ's Blog (lq.blogspot.com) was a very personal account of my separation, divorce and recovery. I stopped for a while, then came back, but in a very different way. I mostly just blog silliness now with occasional angst thrown in. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that my blog was tremendous therapy and a real exercise in self-discovery. I also took much comfort from the kind strangers out there who commented and emailed. I will visit you often and keep up with your journey.
